How much does therapy cost with an Octopus Psychology clinician?

Working with one of our team varies in price depending on whether you want individual therapy or coaching or want to participate in a group programme. Whichever route you choose will deliver excellent value. Unlike some other providers, all our team are qualified mental health professionals with each of us having upwards of 25,000 hours experience of supporting people with mental health issues to transform their lives. Can I use my health insurance policy to cover the cost of sessions?

We do accept several health insurance policies as cover for sessions although for some providers a small additional fee will need to be made by the client. Get in touch for a free consultation to discuss options that might work for you.

Do you provide online sessions?

We offer on-line or face to face sessions depending on your preference or needs. There are pros and cons for each. To discuss which might work best for you, please make an appointment for a complimentary consultation to discuss this.

How long does a session last?

Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. However, if you are booking a coaching session or a session with neurotechnology the session may be longer. This will be agreed with you in advance at your complimentary consultation so you can plan to set aside the time you need.

How frequent are sessions?

Usually weekly therapy sessions are recommended. However, some people prefer to come on a fortnightly basis. Coaching may be less frequent and sessions with neurotechnology may be more frequent. We will discuss what works best for you during a free consultation.

Where are you based?

Most of our face-to-face work is provided in Oundle, close to Peterborough, but we also have an office in York. Much of the help and support we offer can be provided on-line. For teamwork programmes we may be able to travel to you.

What if I haven’t found therapy very helpful before?

All our team have worked successfully with people who had previously found therapy unhelpful or too difficult. They report almost universally that the results we achieve are positive. We believe that if you are reaching out for therapy, it is our duty to find a way to make therapy accessible for you and help you get the most out of it.
